Local secretary: Gordon Haycock

There will be a Spring Meeting in Lower Wharfedale arranged by Gordon Haycock in collaboration with Ian Brand from the Wharfedale Naturalists Society. We will be based in Lower Wharfedale and excursions will include a range of upland habitats including bog, heath, woodland, flushes and fens, limestone crags and scree, lead mining sites and gritstone. There will be opportunities to visit classic Dales sites as well as exploring under-recorded areas in Wharfedale and Airedale where there is much to discover!

The meeting will be based at Nell Bank Centre, Ilkley which is readily accessible by train. A building at the Centre has been hired to provide a meeting place and microscope space for the week. https://www.nellbank.org/

There is self-catering, dormitory accommodation at Nell Bank that will be available on a first come, first served basis.
