Meeting details
Location: Drumcarrow Craig, Fife. Meeting at Bishop’s wood car park (NO459152) at 10.00 a.m.
Drumcarrow Craig consists of an olivine-dolerite sill, nearby there are also some old ironstone workings in the Lower Limestone formation. Note that there are steep rocky and muddy slopes. We intend to explore around the quarries and other grassland in the area to see what bryophytes we can find. There are a number of interesting old records which we will attempt to refind. All are welcome but we will need to meet at Bishop’s wood car park, W of St Andrews (NO459152) and ferry participants because parking immediately by Drumcarrow hill is extremely limited.
