Meeting details
As a contribution to National Moss Day, the British Bryological Society in association with the Scottish Wildlife Trust, is providing a chance for visitors to learn about the variety and beauty of mosses. Scotland is home to a wonderful diverse range of mosses so we will have a display of some of the species that we are most likely to see, together with microscopes and lenses available to investigate in more detail the amazing range of structures to be found in our native mosses. Members of the NE Scotland Bryology group will be available to give pointers on how to distinguish some of the commoner species of moss and liverwort that can be found in our towns and country. All welcome.
