We are an informal group aimed at anyone interested in the bryophytes of Gloucestershire. A key aim of the group is to encourage those who are relatively new to the subject to become more experienced and confident at identifying bryophytes (although we will also be recording what we see at each site). Beginners are welcome at all our meetings.
Meetings are on Sundays, starting at 10.30am and finishing around 3pm. We usually eat a packed lunch on site.
The only equipment needed is a hand lens (x10 or x20) and some paper packets for collecting specimens. You may also wish to bring with you a copy of the British Bryological Society’s Mosses and Liverworts of Britain and Ireland: a Field-guide (2010).

Unfortunately, due to the unchanged forecast for continuing northerly winds with high gust speeds, coupled with being in a wood, we have decided to postpone this meeting.
