This is an informal group to encourage the study of bryophytes and recording in Cornwall. Anyone with an interest is welcome to attend meeting. Beginners are welcome as well as those experienced and confident at identifying bryophytes. The only equipment required is a hand lens (x10 or x20) and perhaps some paper packets for collecting specimens for later study. Site visits can be cold, wet and muddy so it’s advisable to wear good boots and bring warm waterproof clothing. All meetings start at 10am and usually finish before 4pm and we usually carry a packed lunch. Booking is not usually required but is desirable. Meetings can be cancelled at short notice if adverse weather is forecast.
