18 March 2023 (10:00 - 15:30)

Leaders: Jonathan Sleath & John Norton

These sites are in the extreme northwest of the county and the southern slopes of the hills are in v.-c.12, within the Inkpen and Walbury Hills SSSI. Walbury Hill is the highest point in SE England. The  localities consist of unimproved grazed chalk grassland and could potentially yield many interesting species, although currently there are only a handful of old records, including Entodon concinnus.

Meet at 10.00am in the small car park at SU370620 at the east end of Gallows Down, within the macabre sight of Combe Gibbet, last used in 1676. Please email jonathan.sleath@btinternet.com if you plan to attend. The meeting may be postponed if the weather is bad.
